Spectrum Systems, Inc. announced the addition of the JReport embedded reporting solution to its product set for developers. Spectrum Systems is a provider of systems and application lifecycle solutions to the government, and it has partnered with Jinfonet Software to deliver enterprise reporting solutions for Java applications.
Spectrum Systems will target government sales opportunities for JReport and identify application development projects where organizations have a critical need for robust and dynamic Web-based reporting. Since JReport is a 100% Java-based embedded reporting solution, developers can integrate JReport directly into their J2EE applications, according to the company.
"JReport allows government application developers to embed intuitive reporting directly within their applications," said Spectrum's president and CEO, Ronald Segal. "Because it's built in Java, JReport doesn't compromise the integrity and security of government applications and architectures, and it doesn't need to be maintained separately. The developer can focus on the application's functionality while leaving the reporting components to the market-leader. Our partnership with Jinfonet will help us deliver a total solution to our customers via a single purchase order."
According to Jinfonet, by using the Web to deliver, tailor and analyze reports, JReport customers regularly describe they have been able to improve information distribution and use. The customer can provide better decision-making capabilities, enhance customer support and decrease the time business users spend on data gathering and analysis. Jinfonet's customers in the federal government market include the U.S. Navy, the Social Security Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
"We understand the key to success in the public sector is working with partners like Spectrum Systems that are embedded in major projects and successfully delivering value to the government," said John Gularson, executive vice president, Jinfonet. "JReport is idealy suited for application developers, and Spectrum systems will help us better reach that audience in the government arena. Developers rely on Spectrum for their breadth of experience in application development and the diversity of their third-party product offerings. We believe our partnership with Spectrum Systems will be a key element to our continued success in the public sector."
According to Spectrum, JReport will be available on Spectrum System's General Services Administration/Federal Supply Service (GSA/FSS) Schedule (GS-35F-5192G). The GSA schedule is a government wide procurement contract that combines fair and reasonable pricing with ease of procurement for a multitude of products and services.
